CYBERDARK

The city went dark years ago. Two things in it are still awake — and neither knows about the other.

GENERATOR: BLACKOUT

one safehouse found. roof holds. water drips.

objective: Disable both Black ICE.

What is this

CyberDark is a dark idle-RPG about taking a dead city back — one claimed site, one crewed job and one forged key at a time. It is an economy you have to read, not a clicker you leave running: the map decides what your crew can reach, the road decides what they can bring home, and the dark decides what finds them.

Runs in the browser — desktop or phone, portrait. No install, no account, no launcher. Your run saves as you play: close the tab, come back tomorrow, the city is exactly where you left it.

How to last

  1. Cold start Prime the generator. Everything you build runs on power, and power is the only thing that is truly scarce at the beginning.
  2. Water is steps Every move out there costs water. Run dry and you bleed for it. Plan the walk home before you plan the walk out.
  3. Claim ground Take a site and the road paves to your door. The road is your lifeline — and it can be cut. Whatever lies past a break is on its own until you clear it.
  4. Hands need work A crew works only the ground you hold. Ten mouths, limited posts. Idle hands still cost you, so feed nobody you cannot employ.
  5. No favours Doors do not open for please. Some way through is bought with a tool you had to find, some with a key you had to forge. Both exist. Neither is handed to you.
  6. Two Black ICE Both must go dark. One hums above the ruins. The other is deeper than the tunnels. The header will tell you the rest, when you are ready to hear it.

That is the whole guide on purpose. The rest you learn the way everyone does — by not knowing it yet.

Overheard on the surface

“The stairs go down further than they should. Something down there is still awake.”
“Word gets around. People will come — they just need a roof first.”
“A dead executive's card. It still opens a door to the north-east.”
